On-Site Energy operate with the 3 pillars, sustainability, enablement, and innovation. These principles are integral in shaping the work we do, and our commitment to them is why On-Site Energy has grown so strongly since being founded in 2019.
On-Site Energy was established as a result of our founder’s experience within a NYSE-listed global manufacturing business, where he recognised that large companies needed help in developing and realising energy savings and sustainability opportunities.
Our key skills sets are our ‘can-do’ attitude, our innovative approach to developing solutions and our commercial edge arising from our financial independence. We are not afraid of developing solutions where for other providers may find they don’t use the technologies they are restricted to.
On-Site is not a consultancy. We consult, but we also deliver, own, operate and maintain the assets we deploy when under our zero-capex, off-balance sheet model. We have the financial resources to build the projects with our own funding, without the bureaucracy and constraints of bank or institutional funding, which allows us to act quickly, commercially and adapt to change rapidly. Because we are working with our own capital, we can be more flexible in our commercial terms than larger energy ESCO suppliers, but it also ensures we need to be confident in our proposals to ensure our capital is safe and earns our return targets.
CEO (On-Site Group)
David entered the energy sector in 2009, founding a corporate finance business specialising in renewable energy projects. He undertook project development in utility scale solar PV and wind. Latterly, he enjoyed 5 years with Jabil (NYSE: JBL, www.jabil.com) as a Vice President with a leading role in corporate venturing in distributed commercial energy technologies. He led a team rolling-out an innovative energy savings process across Jabil’s factories globally. In that role he identified the issues preventing listed companies from more widely adopting energy savings opportunities and sustainability measures, which has been a key learning in On-Site Energy’s business model.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989, and was a partner in Kidsons Impey (now RSM) for 5 years.
